The legendary pampas is the cradle of the “gauchos.” Your day is filled will pristine and endless landscapes; your evenings with the brilliant stars of the southern hemisphere. Hearty Argentine meals and barbecues will be complimented with wines from the “terroirs” including the world renowned Argentine Malbecs. Immersed in the Argentine culture, you will entertained by the mythic stories of the gauchos, and surprised at your ability to tango. This ride has been featured on National Geographic and Animal Planet.
ITINERARY
Day 1:
Transfer to the Estancia from the Buenos Aires Airport. After you are settled and have enjoyed lunch, you will become acquainted with your horse as you hack across the 3,000 acres of the Estancia.
Day 2 – 4:
You will ride across the famous pampas grasslands, enjoy long canters on the plains, walk along the El Gato River banks and explore quaint and charming villages. The gauchos will teach you the “secrets” of cattle work and horse breeding. An opportunity to drive a 19th century carriage is yours. You will mingle with the locals after you tie your horse in front of the Almada pub and go inside for a drink.
Day 5:
After a morning of riding, you will be taken to Buenos Aires, the “Paris of South America. You are free to meander through the city, shop and visit the museums.
Day 6:
After you settle in your hotel, you will tour the city and learn about unique landmarks like the Plaza de Mayo and Casa Rosada’s balcony. In the evening, you will attend a tango show and take a tango lesson at Complejo Tango.
Day 7:
You will explore the River Plate. The local Indians call the water “as big as the sea” as it is second in size to the Amazon. You will visit picturesque riverside towns and enjoy breathtaking views of thousands of islands within the Paraná delta. At 2:30 PM, you will return to your hotel to prepare for your transfer to the airport.
