You will canter on a vast pristine beach, ride through lush tropical rainforests and muster cattle in the renowned Australian bush. Unique native wildlife from kangaroos to wallabies to colorful parrots will cross your path. You will enjoy authentic Australian barbecues while listening to folklore of the bush.
ITINERARY:
Day 1: Sunday
Transfer from airport to the beautiful Amamoor Lodge located on 50 acres in the heart of Mary River Valley. After you have settled into your room, you will meet your horse and your guide.
Day 2: Monday
You will ride through the spectacular rain forest west of Kenilworth. After lunch, your horse will carry you to Mapleton and Montville high on the Blackall Range.
Day 3: Tuesday
The Left Bank at Kilkivan is your morning destination. Kilkivan is the place where gold was first discovered in Queensland and the Left Bank is a historic former bank building which will serve as your Bed and Breakfast for the next 2 nights. You will then ride on the Wongelia Trail which crosses open range and the Valley of Grass Trees. While you enjoy an Australian BBQ lunch, a local historian and bush poet will regale you with his tales and prose. You will then be transported back to the Left Bank. After dinner, you can explore the historic town of Gympie.
Day 4: Wednesday
You will visit an Australian Stock Horse Stud where 200 horses and hundreds of cattle graze over 10,000 acres. While you are there, you can try your hand at mustering horses or cattle. After lunch, you will visit Goomeri and the Emporium tack shop. There will be drinks waiting for you at the Pub!
Day 5: Thursday
You will be transported to Kin Kin in the heart of the Noosa Trail. Then you will mount up to ride the trail which loops the ocean and the hinterland. At the end of the day, a swimming pool, spa and resort dinner awaits you.
Day 6: Friday
A memorable day is yours as your trail takes you through the bush to the spectacular Laguna Bay and Teewah Beach. In the afternoon, you can relax in the spa, explore Hastings Street, stroll on the beach or hike in the National Park.
Day 7: Saturday
Depending on your flight departure, you may have time to visit the Eumundi Market or the Aussie Zoo.
