Foxhunting in County Galway
County Galway is know for its rolling hills and fields divided by a latticework of stone walls and quiet country roads. Large tracks of woodland offer opportunities to jump a wide variety of natural obstacles, hedges, ditches and walls. It is a land rich in folklore, legend and archaeological treasures. Your host is the legendary Irish horseman, Willie Leahy who is known as the “Irish Horse Whisperer.”

The Galway Blazers hunt Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. You can choose to hunt one, two or three days with your off days filled with sightseeing, guided cross country jumping or a hack in the countryside.

Charming thatched roof buildings of the village of Adare will bid you welcome during your fox hunt in Limerick. The Limerick Hunt crosses rolling hills and gentle rivers divided by ancient stone walls, wooden fence and ditches. Visits to historic ruins and castles await to fill your non-riding days.
