The Games will be held in Lexington, Kentucky from September 25 to October 10, 2010. Managed by the International Federation for Equestrian sports (FEI), they are held every four years. This is the first time the games will be hosted by a city outside of Europe and offer paralympic events.
There will be eight equestrian disciplines – dressage, eventing, driving, jumping, vaulting, reining, endurance and para dressage. It is expected that up to 600,000 visitors might attend the WEG over the 16 days.

Tips:
• The weather: Daytime temperatures in late September and early October in Lexington are 65 – 75 degrees during the day and 45 - 55 degrees F in the evenings. There can be some rain.
• Dogs will not be allowed.

• The city of Lexington is planning a Spotlight Lexington Festival at three different venues in the downtown area. Beginning the day before the Games and running throughout the Games, the activities include re-medaling of the WEG winners, nightly concerts, food vendors and a large Videotron screen to broadcast the WEG competition over the lunch hour.
